This teak step cabinet, also known as a Japanese Kaiden tansu step chest, is reminiscent of 18th century Japanese dwellings where the 'Kaiden Tansu' provided extra storage space as well as access to a second storey or loft space.

Boasting similar simplicity and functionality, our tansu step chest is perfect for a living room or hallway, and will fit neatly by a staircase wall to create a unique storage solution for your home.

This reversible teak step cabinet can be positioned so the steps face either left or right. Featuring 11 drawers of different sizes and two cupboards that open on both sides, there is plenty of storage space for all your bits and bobs. What's more, the eight steps provide a display space for plants, sculptures, photos and so on.

Expertly crafted to the highest spec from the finest materials, this teak wooden step storage cabinet is guaranteed to look absolutely fantastic in situ whilst being the envy of all your friends.
